Tara Schiro is a Los Angeles based author and resource gatherer focusing on the many facets of character and integrity through the fruit of the Spirit and the emotional legacy these create.
Tara is the author of one journal and one book: Write Your Life With Grace, Fruit of the Spirit Guided Journal, and No Arms, No Legs, No Problem: When life happens, you can wish to die or choose to live. She also writes for Elite’ Magazine and pens two blogs: Running with Asthma and Write Your Life With Grace.
Her other interests include completing the LA Marathon in 2014 as well as several half-marathon events over the last several years; calling her kids’ (sanctioned) swim meets during the six years they swam; and as a member of SAG-AFTRA she enjoys being on television and movie sets in her spare time as a background actor.
Tara’s journal is the result of the long battle to choose to be healthy. “It was oddly difficult to let go of the negative thought patterns and behaviors that were keeping me locked into a life of pretense. When dysfunction is a part of your DNA, it’s actually painful to mature through the emotional and spiritual healing. But as soon as I chose gratitude and forgiveness, the floodgates opened to receive the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control into my soul. This is the fruit promised by the Spirit through Jesus Christ, the inner disciplines that are available to change our outer circumstances no matter how big the storm. This is the blessing and the hope!”
Tara lives with her husband, Frank, and their two children, Tiffany and Vince.
